EEN TEVREDEN TERUGBLIK OP CONTOUR 2011
Het Contourteam wenst je een fantastisch 2012! We blikken alvast tevreden terug op 2011. Zowel het publiek als de pers reageerde positief op de 5de Biënnale voor Bewegend Beeld van curator Anthony Kiendl.
Meer dan 12.500 bezoekers zakten af naar Mechelen voor Contour 2011. We hopen dat jullie met jullie klas, vereniging, bedrijf, gezin of vrienden opnieuw van de partij zijn in 2013.
CONTOUR ON TOUR IN 2012
Van 21 maart tot 11 juli 2012 presenteert Contour bewegend beeld in De Loketten van het Vlaams Parlement. De tentoonstelling ‘Contour On Tour’ biedt een panorama van videokunst in Vlaanderen.
De curator, Hans Martens, selecteerde bestaande kunstwerken van onder meer Michaël Borremans, Wim Catrysse, Anouk De Clercq, Hans Op de Beeck, Nicolas Provost en Sarah Vanagt. Dennis Tyfus en Bart Stolle tonen een nieuwe creatie.

De 6de Biënnale voor Bewegend Beeld zal plaatsvinden van 24 augustus 2013 tot 3 november 2013. Curator Jacob Fabricius (DK) zorgt voor de artistieke invulling.
Fabricius is directeur van de Malmö Konsthall (SE) en is curator van ‘Armory Focus: the Nordic countries’, onderdeel van de prestigieuze Armory Show in New York deze lente.
De werktitel van Contour 2013 is ‘Leisure, Discipline and Punishment’ (‘vrije tijd, discipline en straf’). De zesde editie van Contour zal te zien zijn op een beperkt aantal tentoonstellingsplekken. Deze semipublieke ruimtes worden om allerlei redenen bezocht: voor het plezier, uit noodzaak, vanuit een geloof of onder dwang. ‘Leisure, Discipline and Punishment’ onderzoekt sociale functies en relaties binnen de maatschappij.

LOOKING BACK WITH SATISFACTION
The Contour team wishes you a fantastic 2012! We look back with satisfaction to 2011. Both the public and the press were positive about the 5th Biennial of Moving Image put together by curator Anthony Kiendl.
More than 12,500 visitors came to Mechelen for Contour 2011. We hope to see all of you, together with your class, association, company, family or friends, again in 2013.
CONTOUR ON TOUR IN 2012
From 21 March till 11 July 2012 Contour will present moving image in De Loketten in the Flemish Parliament. The exhibition ‘Contour On Tour' offers a panorama of video art in Flanders.
The curator, Hans Martens, selected existing works of art by, amongst others, Michaël Borremans, Wim Catrysse, Anouk De Clercq, Hans Op de Beeck, Nicolas Provost and Sarah Vanagt. Dennis Tyfus and Bart Stolle are showing a new creation.

The 6th Biennial of Moving Image will take place from 24 August 2013 till 3 November 2013. Curator Jacob Fabricius (DK) is responsible for the artistic content.

The working title for Contour 2013 is ‘Leisure, Discipline and Punishment’. The exhibition will take place at a limited number of exhibition venues, public or semi-public social spaces that fulfill a purpose within society. Spaces which people visit for pleasure, necessity, belief or where they are placed by force. ‘Leisure, Discipline and Punishment’ will attempt to examine social roles and relations, and confront identity versus group identity within society.
