In Light Of Watt's Not Happened, [Inferior Voltage] 2007
Cooper's live performances explicitly reference the context. In this case, a corner of the exhibition space is reconstructed. Using this as her stage, she performs as the emergency light. Personifying this role as the unrecognised hero, she attempts an apathetic analysis of her position in wider society through a personalised rendition of Queen's I Want to Break Free.
